Lights Camera Action - What Type of Movie Would Your Life Be ?

Hey ...Life is like a movie sometimes. I know mine is. It just depends on your perspective ...what will my life be today. Action , Drama, Romantic Comedy, Horror or all the above. My life lately has been a combo of Theatre of the Absurd and Cinema Verite.

I really wouldn't want it any other way. Life to short to make bad cinema. So put on your directors hats. Write that great script that will be your movie which is your life ...and yell action on the that adventure to tell the grandkids.

The last couple of days ...have been kinda slow but productive. I have been doing a little consulting for two events coming up. One a Art show / Breast Cancer Fundraiser two a socialmedia unconference - who main the thesis topic is Media Democracy...heady stuff oh I love it.

I am off to assist some colleagues on a video shoot tonight which should be a blast.

Speaking of Movies...Saw Inglorious Basterds ...a nice reinvention on a tire old topic. Not your typical WWII movie ...not your typical Taratino Movie also

Recipe Of The Day :

As Good As it Gets
" Step on a Cracked Crab Noodle Salad

Next time you get a seafood salad compulsion, mix up this delicious crabmeat dish. Then, wash the dishes over and over again until you are satisfied that they're really clean.

* 3 tablespoons light soy sauce
* 3 tablespoons lemon juice
* 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
* 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
* 2 teaspoons minced garlic
* 1 1/2 lbs. lump crabmeat (not imitation "krab" meat)
* 1/2 lb. asparagus, sliced on the diagonal
* 1/2 lb. snow peas
* 1/8 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
* 2 cups thinly sliced scallions
* 1 yellow or red bell pepper, thinly sliced
* 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
* 1 lb. vermicelli or spaghetti
* 1 uncontrollable, compulsive need to cook

Directions:

1. Make dressing: Combine, peanut oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, rice wine vinegar, freshly grated ginger minced garlic, and 2 tablespoons of the toasted peanuts in a mixing bowl. Whisk together and refrigerate until use.

2. Toss the crabmeat with 2 tablespoons of the dressing and refrigerate.

3. Blanch asparagus and snow peas for no more than 45 seconds. Immediately plunge into ice water, remove, blot dry, and refrigerate until use.

4. Cook pasta until al dente, rinse with cold water; drain and toss with the sesame oil, asparagus, snow peas, scallions, peppers, and half of the dressing.

5. Top pasta with crab, cilantro, the remaining peanuts, and more dressing as desired.

6. Make certain to include at least one obsessive-compulsive in your guest list. (At least you know the dishes will get washed, and washed, and washed, and washed?)
